Positions currently hiring:

Horticultural and Agricultural Technician (Farm Employee)

Looking for motivated, positive, and passionate individuals to be apart of our team at both our store locations of 3359 Third Concession Rd, Port Colborne. We have full time positions available. Positive attitude and being outgoing are key qualities we are looking for. This job is funded by the Government of Canada under the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Never worked on a farm? No problem! We will train you! :) 

1. Job Requirements: 
   • -  Great customer service skills; Knowledgable on all products and services we offer; Adherence to a dress code
   • -  Must be between the ages of 15 to 30.
   • -  Must be legally able to work in Ontario, Canada. 
   • -  Must be able to work for extended periods in the sun. 
   • -  Must be able to lift 25 kilograms (55 pounds) unassisted. 
   • -  Must be able to work independently. 
   • -  May be asked to work at varying times during the day; given weather and other circumstances, under exceptional circumstances you may be asked to stay for the duration of events. 
   • -  May be asked to work on long weekends or statutory holidays and be expected to work. 
   • -  Must have a means of transportation to and from the job site. 
   • -  Smart Serve® Certification to serve alcohol (exempted for youth; can be acquired after hiring) 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• -  Planting, tending, replacing, and picking plants
• -  Picking and removal of weeds and unwanted plants, including trees and tree branches  or anything pertaining thereto 
• -  Landscaping / Garden Planning 
• -  Landscape care and maintenance 
• -  Mowing 
• -  Operating and maintaining certain machinery and farm equipment, including but not limited to tractors. 
• Long periods in the sun
• Attending and working events on the farm
• Working with guests
• Working with customers, conducting sales
• Giving tours of the farm
• Selling goods in the store
• Working with irrigation systems (installation, maintenance, etc.)
• Compliance of proprietary company safety procedures.

Retail Sales Associate / Marketing co-ordinator:

  • Excellent customer service selling Ridgeway Lavender and Anna's Jewellery products at our brick-and-mortar location(s).

• Marketing
  • Working with a collaborative team to effectively market the company, its products, and services through traditional and digital avenues
  • Increase awareness of the company and its services in the local community
  • Increase online sales though our website

Ideal Candidate:

- Previous retail sales experience (with references)

- Knowledge of the Niagara Region

- Previous relatable retail sales experience

- Experience with META digital services, Canva, Google, and email marketing
